William
(Al) Wallace holds his primary appointment at Rensselaer Polytechnic
Institute
as professor of decision sciences and engineering systems, and joint
appointments in
cognitive sciences and civil and environmental engineering; and is research
director of
Rensselaer's Center for Infrastructure and Transportation Studies. Presently,
NSF and
FHWA are supporting his research on trust and the internet, and decision
technologies
for emergency response and restoration and incident management. He is
co-founder
and co-editor of Computational & Mathematical Organization Theory.
Professor
Wallace has, since 1990, authored and edited 6 books and over 70 articles
and papers - out of a total of over 200 archival publications. National
and international
media including Associated Press, Christian Science Monitor and
Business Week
has reported on his research.
